Saga of the Old North
A den of thieves and underhanded ways, though it was not always this way. Once Munedolr was an important mining colony, supplying all the towns in the Old North with precious metals, but over the years the ore ran out, as well as the wealth. Munedolr fell to economic depression, and starvation without the ore to trade for Reddenheim’s crops. At a young age, Signir betrayed his father by studying the ways of Loki, and creating a small following amongst his peers. As punishment Jarl Sigmund sent Signir to rule over the ailing town, knowing because of his youth and inexperience that he would fail. Signir did not fail, using deception and politics to secure the town. He created a Temple of Loki that required many fees for entry and mandatory offerings and tithes, this quickly grew the temple which he used to manipulate local businesses to do his bidding, such as the Munedolr Meadery, which he grew to a substantial business. There are rumors that he used the thieves guild to achieve his great economic success but there was no evidence. He now controls the industry of the town, much to the chagrin of the local nobility, and uses them for his own greed. But no one can complain, he did save them, after all.
